The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at the Enfield Shaker Museum in Enfield, NH, which is nestled in the Upper Connecticut River Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire. The street address of the museum is 447 New Hampshire Route 4A, Enfield, NH 03748. If you choose to travel by air, you have plenty of options. Some are more convenient than others, especially with transportation from the airport to Lebanon. All the airports listed below offer rental cars.

The closest airport is the Lebanon Municipal Airport (LEB) in West Lebanon, NH, about a 20-minute drive from Enfield. Cape Air offers round-trip flights to Boston starting at $125; for groups they also offer 10 one-way trips for $581.50 (i.e., $116.30 per round trip). Please note that the Cape Air fleet is composed of Cessna 402s, which seat 6-10 people. Scout finds the trip enjoyable; Joshua thinks the plane is too Buddy Holly-sized. If you are coming from New York City, Cape Air also offers travel between midtown Manhattan and Lebanon, NH via White Plains (including a limo service between White Plains and the southeast corner of 35th St. and 8th Ave.). Again, please note that Cape Air may not be a good option for travelers uncomfortable being seated next to the pilot.

The region's large airport is Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston, MA, about a 2.5 hour drive from Enfield. Local bus companies offer service between Logan and the Upper Valley, as described below.

The local Southwest hub (which is also serviced by a variety of other airlines) is the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) in Manchester, NH, about a 1.5 hour drive from Enfield. Greyhound offers bus service between Manchester and Lebanon, but it is limited. Make sure you check the time to make sure it is convenient. There is also a shuttle service to the Upper Valley.

Other airports include Burlington International Airport (BTV) in Burlington, VT (about 2 hours from the Upper Valley) and Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, CT (about 2.5 hours from the Upper Valley). There is no convenient public transport between these airports and the Upper Valley.

Bus transportation is suprisingly good, especially from Boston. Dartmouth Coach and Greyhound each run busses several times a day from Boston South Station and Logan Airport. Dartmouch Coach busses are nice and clean and have movies, snacks, and even wifi. Greyhound busses are also an option. The trip from Logan airport takes 2.5-3 hours. Greyhound busses pick up at Manchester Airport as well as Logan. Dartmouth Coach also has bus service to New York, which takes 5+ hours. These busses are really nice.

All busses stop in Hanover. Dartmouth Coach also stops in Lebanon; this bus stop is somewhat closer to the hotels and to the Shaker Museum.

There is a once-daily Amtrak train service from New York City to White River Junction, VT. The trip takes 7-7.5 hours, but is a pleasant ride if you have the time.

Local transportation is limited. There are plenty of rental car places in the Upper Valley and at all the above airports. This taxi company is reliable and reasonable. Call ahead if you can, as it can take them some time (e.g., 20 minutes) to arrive.
